Damon Alexander is a name which is synonymous with underground punk music,
but the lesser known Damon Alexander side projects tend to venture into different
genres of music and this is one of the most extreme directions. This hybrid mix of
melodic punk and classic American swing is blended with a touch of pop rock, and
topped with a heavy dose of fun loving and unusually heart felt poetry.


POWERFUL, INGENIOUS AND CRUSHINGLY BEAUTIFUL - The three piece Dsloth and the Vanity Boys delivers a fresh sound with
strange instrumental tuning and unorthodox musical phrasing. The orchestrated, heavily distorted guitar back drops the endlessly walking and
popping bass line intricacies. The spry and peppy drum verses are spiced by double bass and hints of tribal beats. The crystalline vocals dance
and drone in the forefront, organizing this symphonic myriad of diversified sonic elements into a single hybrid vision - A Series Of Works Both
Raw And Beautiful.

In the summer of 1997, Damon Alexander inaugurated his boldest side project. Untitled at the time, he began arranging a string of  songs which
would be lyrically and musically based on the internal workings and emotions of a loving relationship. From the silly and fun friendship between 
two lovers (eg. Melting Away, You're My Christmas Present) to the deep longing almost crippling power of love (eg. B2, Whispers) Damon
continued to build. He drew musical influences from the great American song masters, golden age rock n' roll and his own natural talents in punk
rock.

In the fall of 1997, Jesus Sacrifice, long time right hand man of Damon Alexander, joined onto the project as bass virtuoso Jon E Vaagrant and
the band was completed with the addition of a new face Alka Hallman , a death metal enthusiast and drummer from the area. Rehearsals began
and in the spring of 1998, Dsloth and the Vanity Boys entered the studio and Damon Alexander tuned his guitar down to B...
